Affects: Photo Ephemeris Web Pro when Google Maps are selected.
UPDATE, 2:40pm Mountain Time: This appears to be due a new release of the underlying Google Maps JS API library (3.46.3) that may have a regression bug. A new web release (2.6.9) force downgrades the Google Maps library to the previous version (3.45) and drag/drop functionality has been restored. We've filed a bug report with Google for this and will continue to monitor.
We're receiving reports and have confirmed that since yesterday, Sep 1 2021, users are unable to drag and drop the map pins when Google Maps are enabled.
We're currently investigating the cause of this and will endeavor to deploy a fix as soon as we can. There was no change to the web app on our side yesterday, so it appears that this may be an external change that is causing the problem.
Workaround
A number of workaround are available:
- Disable Google Maps while positioning the pins - pin drag/drop is working find in the default maps
- With Google Maps enabled, you can press the 'C' key to recenter the red pin, or use the Center pin button on the right of the map. This, in conjunction with the Swap pins button, when using Geodetics, provides a way to move the map, and then position the pin at the center of the view.
We'll post further updates here.
